November 2018 – Nearly every worker from cubicle to boardroom faces the daily grind, which may dull body and mind.

When this happens, it becomes more difficult to remember the believer’s first love in Christ, and then how one’s light to the world of work may begin to dim too.

Even so, Colossians 3:23-24 admonishes, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Leah Marianne Klett of Liberty University Online Programs suggests five ways to honor Christ in the workplace:

▶ Exemplify integrity.
▶ Work with excellence.
▶ Be trustworthy and reliable.
▶ Treat others with respect.
▶ Work as unto the Lord.

Klett spotlights the daily opportunities Christians have to set themselves apart in the workplace. She writes, “With God’s help, let us labor with diligence, serve with humility, and strive for excellence in whatever work God has called us to do.”
