September 2019 – When human trafficking is the subject, young boys aren’t the first victims who come to mind. In order to make young boys forced into the sex trade appear more attractive, traffickers sometimes disguise them as girls. A recent study conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice estimated 36% of children trafficked are boys. The average age of males entering the trafficking ring is 11 to 13.
