September 2019 – Bucking the cultural trend to accept transgenderism as the new normal, a recent Gallup poll found that slightly over half of adults surveyed (51%) favored public restroom policies that distinguish between men and women according to their birth gender.

Politically, the poll showed that 78% of Republicans believe that men and women – according to their birth gender – should be required to use their respective bathroom facilities. Only 27% of Democrats deemed that distinction necessary.

However, the wide-ranging poll on LGBT issues also indicated broad support overall for pro-homosexual initiatives.
