May 2021 – Koedi Grace Nealy, known as “the penny girl,” has had a heart for Jesus, serving others, and collecting pennies since she was 7 years old. Nealy began to question why pennies, often discarded or viewed as worthless, were not a treasure to others as well. Likewise, she wanted to show love and kindness to the needy in her hometown of Houston, Texas.
Through her one-cent treasures, she realized she could do more for those in need. After collecting pennies for six years with her classmates’ and family’s help, Nealy started Graced Ministry in 2015 to serve homeless people. The teenager has also written a children’s book, Pennies From Heaven, about her ministry.
