May 2021New Jersey plumber Andrew Mitchell and his family drove more than 20 hours to Texas to help victims of February’s brutal winter storms that left millions without access to clean water.

Mitchell’s wife, Kisha Pinnock, told Fox News her husband felt like “it was his calling” to help in Texas.

So when he saw social media pleas from Texas plumbers for out-of-state plumbers to come help with the high demands for service, Mitchell was quick to respond. He and his wife’s brother Isaiah, who is Mitchell’s apprentice, loaded the family vehicle with thousands of dollars in supplies and made the 22-hour trip, along with Kisha and their young son.

The men hit the ground running as soon as they arrived in Texas, working from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. on some days.

Kisha said she knew that the winter storm was Mitchell’s chance to do something good for others.
