May 2014 – AFA’s annual Meet at City Hall prayer observance is set for May 1, from 12:20 to 12:40 p.m.
At city halls across the country, individuals will gather to pray for a religious awakening in our country. The event is meant to coincide with the National Day of Prayer.
Christians can easily organize their own Meet at City Hall gathering. Of course, anyone can simply show up and pray. However, if a more organized event is desired – say, one that would require a sound system – a permit might be necessary but is fairly easy to obtain.
AFA suggests you invite members of your Sunday school class or church to join together and organize the Meet at City Hall event. Public officials, local pastors and church choirs, for example, can be invited to participate.
“In America we live in troubling and increasingly wicked days,” said AFA president Tim Wildmon. “The people of God must press in to pray and seek the Lord for His forgiveness and mercy.”

The theme this year is “One Voice United in Prayer.”
