February 2015 – According to a new study from Pew Research, Americans report they like the deluge of information the Internet provides. In the survey, Pew asked respondents if they feel more informed because of the Internet and cell phones as compared to five years ago.
Internet users under the age of 50, those in higher income households, and those with higher educational attainment were especially likely to say digital access to information has given them considerable help in understanding news and culture.
Beyond just gathering news, 81% of respondents said the Internet makes them better informed about both products and services.
