February 2015 – Abstinence speaker Pam Stenzel became the target of a vicious social media attack after she was scheduled to speak November 19 at Warwick High School and Warwick Middle School in Lititz, Pennsylvania. A local business paid for Stenzel to speak on abstinence as a supplement to school sex education curricula. Parents were given the opportunity to opt their children out.

Although the school district canceled the talk due to the hostility shown by some parents, it expressed support for Stenzel.

“[A minority of parents] with differences of opinion used what can only be described as bullying tactics through social media to personally attack individuals,” school officials stated.

Stenzel agreed, saying, “They talk about tolerance. They are the most intolerant people.”
