February 2015 – Parents Television Council found that 99% of programs with family-centered storylines airing as primetime shows or on major networks during the 2013 fall television season contained adult themes in the form of violence, profanity, or sexual content. Even more disturbing, that adult content was often delivered by children in the show.
“It’s bad enough that shows about families aren’t safe for family viewing, but when you have family characters in the form of children delivering the most explicit content, it’s doubly troubling,” said Tim Winters, PTC president.
