May 2016 – TV Land debuted Teachers earlier this year, and the TV-14L series was of immediate concern to AFA’s One Million Moms. “It is almost impossible to describe the depth of depravity in Teachers,” said 1MM director Monica Cole. Two early advertisers on the series – Apartments.com and Eggland’s Best – responded within hours to emails from 1MM members and committed to pull their support from Teachers.

Cole said every scene in the early episodes was filled with sexual innuendo, and there were several lesbian make-out scenes. She anticipates that other advertisers will soon see the wisdom in distancing themselves from the series.

At press time, 1MM had begun to alert members to ABC’s new sitcom The Real O’Neals, which ABC describes as “just your typical all-American, Catholic, divorcing, disgraced, law-breaking, gay family.”

Cole said the series shows total disrespect toward Christian faith and Catholics in particular, and she is confident 1MM members will bombard advertisers with their concerns. For more information, visit onemillionmoms.com.
