April 2017 – A new survey by Ascend, a Washington DC-based professional association that champions youth in making healthy decisions in relationships and life, found that most Americans oppose the sex education programs promoted by the Obama administration.

The survey reveals that most parents want a change after years of federal funding being applied to the pregnancy prevention approach while students have been taught that it’s entirely appropriate to experiment with sex.

Valerie Huber, CEO of Ascend, said the majority of respondents want at least half of the funds to be applied to sexual risk avoidance.
