October 2018 – When Tippecanoe County Right to Life submitted an ad showing two pictures of babies from ultrasounds and one of a newborn baby along with the words “Me,” “Me Again,” and “Still Me,” CityBus, in Lafayette and West Lafayette, Indiana, rejected the ad as too political.

Alliance Defending Freedom filed suit on July 23, on behalf of TCRTL saying CityBus violated the free speech clause of the First Amendment.

“An unborn baby’s humanity is a scientific fact, but even debatable political viewpoints can’t be silenced by government officials whenever they dislike them,” said ADF legal counsel Samuel Green.

“When the government creates an opportunity for advertising on countless topics, it cannot reasonably single out life-affirming, educational messages for censorship.”
