January-February 2021When Harry Moyer turned 100 years old in October, he celebrated in a special way. He took to the skies. A World War II veteran, Moyer was an Army Air Corps pilot, fighting in several theaters including Africa and China. Now, Moyer still flies every week, a tradition especially important to him on Veterans Day.

“I don’t want to say it’s ethereal, but it’s very moving to me,” said Moyer. His family believes Moyer may be the oldest active pilot in the world, and they have submitted a video to Guinness World Records as proof.
