November 2021 – An Atlanta Catholic couple was alarmed by their child’s kindergarten teacher’s “wish list.” The Morningside Elementary teacher evidently hoped parents would purchase books that promote gay marriage, transgenderism, and progressive ideals to help her teach their 5-year-old.
The parents consulted principal Audrey Sofianos with hopes of transferring their child to another classroom. But Sofianos told them changing classrooms would not help – teaching LGBTQ values is a K-12 plan in the whole district. In other words, if the Christian parents expect their values to be acknowledged, they must enroll their child in another school district.
