November 2015 – Operation Christmas Child, an outreach of Samaritan’s Purse ministries, has scheduled this season’s collection week for November 16-23. The annual drive urges Christians to collect toys, school supplies, and other small items to pack into shoebox gifts for children in Third World countries.
OCC delivers the gifts through local pastors and churches, creating a bridge between the village church and children in the area.
In addition, OCC president Franklin Graham hopes one day to include with every shoebox The Greatest Journey, a Bible study course for the local pastor’s use to teach children and share the gospel. But funding is still inadequate.
American Family Radio will partner with OCC on November 30, urging listeners to contribute toward providing The Greatest Journey for more children. Learn more about both projects at samaritanspurse.org or 800-353-5949.
