November 2015 – Building on the success of their previous films, including Courageous and Fireproof, the Kendrick Brothers’ newest film, War Room, debuted August 28 and surprised many as it surged through the box office rankings. Beating blockbuster hits such as the latest Mission Impossible franchise installment, War Room claimed second place in the rankings – narrowly losing the top spot to a film shown at more than twice the number of theaters. Showing at only 1,135 theaters, War Room took in $11.3 million opening weekend. Less than three weeks later, it had grossed $40.3 million worldwide.

War Room tells the story of a young, successful couple whose marriage is struggling. Highlighting authentic relational issues, marital reconciliation, friendship, and the power of prayer, War Room is reflective of a new breed of faith-based films that are delivering greater quality, thus enhancing the message.
