April 2020 – The consequences of Target allowing men to enter women’s fitting rooms and restrooms worsen. On January 21, a 46-year-old man was arrested in Auburn Hills, Michigan, after videotaping a teenage girl changing clothes in a Target fitting room. The man was reportedly charged with, among other crimes, surveilling an unclothed person and capturing/distributing an image of an unclothed person.
Target expressed its intolerance of the man’s criminal behavior yet refuses to change its policy.
“We are nearly four years into our boycott of Target,” said Randy Sharp, AFA director of special projects. “But we’re not backing down. Target’s policy is nothing but an open invitation to this type of criminal behavior.”
